MUSEUMS

As much of my craft work involves historical research I have been involved in history events, re-enactment days and research at Museums.

This has included handspinning demonstrations at Bordesley Abbey and spinning naturally dyed wool for an accurate braid-girdle for medieval costumes.

Craft workshops can be offered that link with collections and exhibitions. Participants may explore historical techniques and methods of production on individual pieces such as clay and textiles, or a large scale multi-media piece of group work extending and interpreting themes from the exhibition.

I would be interested in taking part in Museum events and undertaking further research into craft techniques.
