CRAFTS, ECOLOGY AND THE ENVIRONMENT

As many of my designs are inspired by nature I try to work with as little impact on the environment as possible.

I recycle glass and include other reclaimed materials within the work.

Textiles offers the greatest opportunity for recycling- in fact it is the very essence of patchwork and rugmaking.

I am particularly interested in linking my work with Environmental and Forestry Discovery Centres as craft activities with nature themes can be creative and enjoyable whilst raising awareness of the environment.

OTHER EVENTS

I also take part in Country Fairs as this often combines many areas that I am interested in – the countryside, keeping traditional crafts and skills alive by interesting and educating people about them.
